Everyone has a Secret Santa on Saturday, December 6.  The Havana Business Improvement District will be purchasing gift cards from its stakeholder retailers and restaurants and candy canes for our Santas to distribute to unsuspecting shoppers to thank them for shopping On Havana Street.  This is our way to support our own merchants and show appreciation to you, our customers.  All you have to do is be out at any of the retail centers or car dealerships along Havana Saturday afternoon, December 6 and be on the look out for Santa Claus. (Our Santas will be out and about along Havana for about 2 hours or until they run out of gift cards and candy to distribute.)

This is a new event ini 2015 to highlight our Art 2C on Havana exhibition.  Spring is here and we want to get you out and about in the District to see our fantastic sculptures.   We plan to use the Havana District's Twitter account to Tweet out clues as to the location of "hidden cash" in the district.  When someone finds an envelope with hidden cash (fake money that will be redeemed for real cash money at 4:30 p.m.)  they will need to find one of the Art 2C on Havana sculptures and take a "selfie" of themselves in front of the sculpture holding the cash and post the photo on Twitter.  We will all meet up at the new Applebees at The Gardens on Havana at around 4:30 p.m. for refreshments and to redeem your found fake money for the real thing!  What Fun!

More details coming soon.

Techno+Rescue is a Veteran-owned and operated Colorado full-service Green IT company.  They will have their “Green Team” and trucks in the parking lot at The Stampede.  They will quickly unload your vehicle and safely recycle your old electronic devices domestically here in the States.  Their motto is "Reuse, Recover, Recycle."  Properly and responsibly recycling electronic equipment is very important.  By keeping electronics out of landfills, responsible recycling reduces energy demand from mining and manufacturing.  Older TV'S and computers typically contain about 4-7lbs of lead which is toxic and can cause cancer and reproductive disorders.  We even accept those big old rear-projection TVs at this event.

Shred-It will have three (3) big trucks from their mobile shredding operation on site to safely and securely shred your confidential documents for free!  Please bring your documents in bags and boxes.  YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO TAKE YOUR BAGS AND BOXES HOME WITH YOU AS YOU LEAVE.  There is a 4 bag/box limit per person since this is only a 3-hour event.  You will be able to watch the documents as they are shredded and will receive a certificate noting that your documents were safely destroyed.
