May is Support Small Business Month On Havana Street.  Did you know that when you buy a product or service from a small business your money goes right back into the local community?   We have some 3rd and 4th generation businesses On Havana Street, and many of our businesses have called Havana Street home for over 20 years.

The contemporary jazz ensamble, Dotsero, will be performing live in the rose garden at The Gardens on Havana from 6-7:30 p.m. to kick off our summer concert series.  Dotsero has been a mainstay of the Denver Jazz scene since 1990.  They perform regularly at Jazz at Jack's in Denver.  Their music is, "a strong blend of rock, fusion, light funk, soulful melodies and wild improvisation."  This is a free community concert.  Just bring your lawn chair or blanket and picnic or take-out dinner if you desire and join us in the rose garden by 6 p.m.  If you are not familiar with Dotsero, check out their website:  http://www.jazzatjacks.com/music/index.cfm

Get your Free Cupcake!  To make the evening even sweeter, the first 350 people in attendance in the rose garden for the concert will receive a free "rose" cupcake from Katherine's French Bakery courtesy of On Havana Street (pictured).

Sports Clips at The Gardens on Havana is celebrating their first anniversary.  The official ribbon cutting will be on Friday, May 31 at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Stop in for prize drawings, refreshments and free massages.  Food and drink by Papa Johns and GiGi's Cupcakes.  Prizes by Shotokoan karate and Game Stop.  Bring the kids and meet "Sporty" the SportClips mascot.

Cruzin' Havana Kidz Zone Fun from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the parking lot in front of Bicycle Village, 2802 S Havana, which is south of Parker Road along the east side of Havana.  

Bring the entire family out to this free, fantastic kick off event for the 6th Annual Cruzin Havana Car Show and Poker Run.  Radio Disney is bringing their exciting 90-minute Pixar Cars Movie road show to Cruzin' Havana this year!  You will enjoy music, Cars Movie props, a dance party, give-aways and prizes--fun for the whole family.  Best of all--this is a free event.  Car Quest is hosting a BBQ and will have classic cars on display in the parking lot, too.
 

After this Pixar Cars Movie Road Show, drive north on Havana for the Cruzin' Havana Car Show & Poker run taking place at five festival sites along Havana from 1-7 p.m.  See over 5,000 classic cars and enjoy a fun afternoon of old skool rock & roll, fuzzy dice roll, vendor and food booths.  (See the separate event listing below for details about Cruzin' Havana.)  Cost:  Free

Bring the entire family and experience the incredible Radio Disney Road Show!  This is the Disney Road Crew's "Kick off to Summer" Disney Channel themed event.  This road show will include music, interactive games and a dance party!   There will be prizes and giveaways throughout the evening!  This is a great free event for grandparents, parents and the kids of all ages!

Gather up the family, bring lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on and come enjoy!  You are welcome to bring a picnic or take-out dinner to enjoy at this event, too.

The rose garden is located at the east end of Garden Drive at the former Buckingham Square Mall Site.  From Dick's Sporting Goods, go south on South Ironton about half a block.  The garden is located in the plaza by the big 30 foot tall obelisk sculpture.

Tuesday, July 23, 6-8:00 p.m.:  Enjoy a free concert featuring the big band/big horn sounds of the 1930's-1950's and more contemporary music like the Blues Brothers!  We will have Six Foot Joe and the Red Hot Rhinos performing live in the rose garden.  They are fantastic!!  Bring your lawn chair and join us.  

Get your free slice of pizza!  The new Papa Johns Pizza at The Gardens on Havana and StevO's Pizza are sharing the duties of delivering take-out pizzas to the rose garden for our Pizza Party at the concert!  The first 400 people in attendance will get a free piece of pizza!  We are ordering 25 large (8 slice) pizzas from Papa Johns and 25 from StevO's for a total of 400 pieces.  The pizza is being paid for by On Havana Street.  Just for fun, StevO's Pizza will be arriving in their new, funky pizza delivery truck.
