You do not need to be an Aurora resident to take advantage of these free services. This Earth Day event is open to everyone.
In conjunction with Aurora's new Neighborhood Beautification program, several neighborhoods will be doing clean ups this April. There is a combined Denver/Aurora Great Colfax Clean-Up scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2015. Remember, It is illegal to throw electronic items in the trash or into dumpsters in Colorado. Instead, we encourage you to bring us your old electronics for free recycling on April 18 and then participate in the Denver/Aurora Great Colfax Clean Up on April 25, too. For more details and to get involved in the 2015 Great Colfax Clean-up, contact Peg Alt at 303-739-7530 or email@example.com

Techno+Rescue is a Veteran-owned and operated Colorado full-service Green IT company. They will have their “Green Team” and trucks in the parking lot at The Stampede. They will quickly unload your vehicle and safely recycle your old electronic devices domestically here in the States. Their motto is "Reuse, Recover, Recycle." Properly and responsibly recycling electronic equipment is very important. By keeping electronics out of landfills, responsible recycling reduces energy demand from mining and manufacturing. Older TV'S and computers typically contain about 4-7 lbs of lead which is toxic and can cause cancer and reproductive disorders. We even accept those big old rear-projection TVs at this event.
FREE DOCUMENT SHREDDING ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2015 FROM 12 NOON TO 3 P.M.
Please note that the Shred-It trucks will not arrive at the site until 12 noon and will leave promptly at 3 p.m.
SHRED-IT will have TWO SECURE "CONTAINER TRUCKS" AND ONE SHREDDER TRUCK from their mobile shredding operation on site to safely and securely shred your confidential documents for free! To speed the line up, you can dump your documents into one of the secure bins that will be dumped into the secure "container trucks." You will receive a "certificate of destruction" from Shred-It assuring you that your documents in these secure "container trucks" will be safely and securely shredded back at the Shred-It Facility.
Witness your shredding, but be prepared to wait longer: If you absolutely need to witness your documents being shredded yourself at this event, you will be directed to the Shred-It shredder truck (truck "C" on the map link). Please note that witnessing your documents being shredded will take a lot longer than simply dropping off your documents in the secure container truck bins. You will be directed by the flagman into the parking lot to get your vehicle parked and out of the line so you are not blocking progression of the line while you wait for to witness your documents being shredded. Again, please understand that this process will take a lot longer than simply dropping your documents off in a secure bin at the container trucks at this event. Thank you for your patience.
SHREDDING LIMIT: THERE IS A FOUR (4) BAG OR BOX LIMIT PER PERSON AND YOU NEED TO TAKE YOUR EMPTY BAGS AND BOXES WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE.
REMEMBER, WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS WORKING THIS EVENT. YOU ARE RECEIVING THESE SERVICES FOR FREE, SO YOUR PATIENCE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!
PLEASE BE COURTEOUS--NO DUMPING AT THE EVENT SITE BEFORE OR AFTER THIS EVENT.
